It is tradition after all. I know the forum's a little slow right now, but I love doing these. (And I'm in a much, much less stressed place than I was last year.) I'm still doing TS2 and TS3 avs. Although on the TS3 front, at this moment I just ordered a replacement from Amazon for Late Night and so might wait until I get that in five to seven business days before I start in on those. Same pretty much as always: Game: Just which game you'd like me to shoot your av in. Same as last year. I still am short FFS for TS2 and I don't own any of the stuff packs for TS3, just the expansions. Sim: Which sim you'd like to see used, your self sim, a favorite sim, a downloaded sim or one you'd like to see me create. Hair: If there is a color or style you would like to see used. This can be either a specific color or mesh, or it can be more a suggestion, like super messy. Genetics: For TS2 I use semi-realistic skintones and again semi-realistic eyes, I can use Maxis Match, but I'm not taking my defaults out. For TS3, I have installed Navetsea's F-IN01 defaults and Escand's Oh My- Eyes- defaults. But, please, feel free to make suggestions. Theme: If you want your av designed around a concept, here would be the place to suggest it. I'll admit to having a bit more fun when people make a theme suggestion rather than "whatever you want." I sometimes wonder if in these cases allowing me full reign of whatever I want isn't too much freedom. Clothing: Again, if you have an idea for a specific outfit or just a general overall style that isn't defined by your theme (I mean obviously if you say I want this to take place in a honeymoon suite with Mr. Darcy for your theme, I'll kind of have an idea what to do for you.) But suggestions always help. Accessories & Make-up: I am open to suggestions on accessories and make-up, sometimes it even lets me find new sites and creators, but I can always muddle my way through on my own if you haven't got anything specific. Objects: Some of this will be defined by theme, if you choose one, but if you don't, here would be the place for suggestions and ideas. Notes & Questions: Pretty much self explanatory. --- I do a lot more downloading for TS2 than I do for TS3. (Although now that it doesn't take a week to load the game or install content or uninstall it, thanks to my improved Fonz 2.0, I'm up for downloading a little more.) But if you have something you'd like to see this year, I will do my best to make it happen. --- And here is the form, same as every year I've done this: Form:Game: Sim: Hair: Genetics: Theme: Clothing: Accessories & Make-up: Objects: Notes & Questions:Hopefully I shall get a nibble or two. ~Steph Edit: Wrong default name

Wow, is it really a year since last time? Time flies by so fast! Again, so lovely of you to do this Steph, it's always so fun to see what you come up with I'll bite this year as well Game: TS3 Sim: SimThea (do you still have her?) Hair: Anything curly/curly-ish. Genetics: N/A Theme: I'd love a Doctor Who theme, if it's not too vast/difficult Clothing: Anything is fine, really. Maybe something blue, to match the Tardis? Accessories & Make-up: N/A Objects: I don't use much cc myself, so I don't really have any suggestions, but I guess this one would be a suitable with the theme Notes & Questions: If you would like a different theme, just let me know (otherwise you are free to choose yourself as well)

I'd love one! I adore all your sig/av sets, and I still have all the ones you've made me.
Game: TS3 Sim: I'd love a Steph created Sim Hair: Your choice Genetics: Your choice Theme: Hmmm, TS3 has such beautiful scenery, so something that shows it off would be lovely. Or perhaps if you have WA a shoot done in Egypt or France. Clothing: Your choice Accessories & Make-up: Your choice Objects: Whatever suits the theme Notes & Questions: None

Thea: I totally know I was like, huh, it's been a year? Already? Where'd the time go? But according to the calendar it's May so, yep, it's been a year. I need to do a little more research on Dr. Who before I can really confirm that I can do it. I will try, but the past couple of days I've been fighting an infected cut on my mousing arm, it's needed a little TLC and me not to do a whole lot of mousing with it. But the infection is gone, so I will get to the doing on that. I believe I still have your sim. You e-mailed her to me last year and I never clear out my e-mail. So I should. (Gmail doesn't seem to want to load for me at the moment, but I should.) Oh, and I changed my shipping on Late Night to two day and got it yesterday, but I still have Stuff Packs coming snail mail. Jenni, I do have WA, and thought about Egypt, definitely, for you. It reminds me of the year one shoot for you. But France is awful pretty too. Maybe I'll just make the sim for yours into a World Traveler and do one everywhere. ~Steph

I certainly would not object to that. Speaking of that shoot, I had to dig out that AV and sig. lol

Yes please!! I love the av and sig you did for me last year. Game: Sim: Sims2 (The one you have already, or I can resend it to you) Hair: shoulder length wavy. Genetics: Your choice. Theme: Something Feral. (e.g. Forest, Beach, untamed landscape not urban) Clothing: Your choice Accessories & Make-up: Your choice Objects: Your choice Notes & Questions: The thought I'm having is that I currently feel like I'm emerging from the wilderness, and reinventing who I am. I'd like my sig/av to reflect that.

If SPG is still here next year, Margot, I probably will. I've done one of these ever since we came to be the next generation. But I understand. It's completely optional. @ Jenni. Oh, question, you said you wanted a sim I did for you, would that be a sim who sorta looks vaguely how I imagine you or just any sim? Okay, Kiri, I even kinda have an idea. Thea, I went and looked through the Wiki on Dr. Who and, um, wow, it was a lot of information. I don't even know where to start with trying to pull that together into a theme. But, Kellie suggested that I maybe ask about your favorite doctor/episode(s) and see if maybe that would help narrow down an idea a bit. Or I can just do something else for you. I do have your sim though, went and found her yesterday. ~Steph

Well, I have a sculpt saved up in my saved sims bin for adventuring with you, Jenni, but having a little trouble deciding between dark brown hair and light brown hair, of course when I think of you, it's usually dark, but that's mostly cause that's what the default brown for TS2 is. Thought I would at least ask. Knowing full well it probably looks nothing like you. But I think it'll be fun. Jess, I do do couples. I did Felicity's two years ago and heck, my av and sig currently have a couple in them. I've never done much with couples in TS3, but mostly cause I've never gotten that far. I've never been too attached to my towns or the sims in them, except for one family and I lost them. And I prefer to start with a single sim, but I'm not all that fond of Maxis made sims, which makes spouse hunting in TS3 kind of a pain as I've only played Maxis based neighborhoods. I really should figure out a little about world building. That's how I've always been happiest in the games, my own town populated with just the people I want in it. Sorry for the long answer but it's twenty-to-eight here and I haven't been to bed yet. Anyway, I would be glad to shoot a couple for you and would love to do a new av sig for you as well, just lemme know what you want me to do. ~Steph

If you want another theme instead, that's fine too What about Alice in Wonderland or Film Noir?

Thea, I think I'll go with a different theme. I would like to be able to say I could do a Dr. Who theme for you, but I think the haunting fear that I was doing it badly would probably get to me. I'm not sure which of the two I'll do yet, it'll depend on what I can find for Alice content. But I do already have a few noir ideas, so it'll probably be that in the end. I hate saying I can't do things, but I'd rather be able to do things well. ~Steph

Dark brown hair works, my hair is closer to dark than light brown. At least it is when I don't dye it.

Bit of a status update. I have Jenni's shoot done. (Only got France and Egypt, but already have like seventy pictures, so...)
Thea's I have the sims created for, but am still trying to get a good idea for what I want for a lot/world. Unfortunately none of the worlds I have that are already decorated fit the idea I have in my head. (Want something a little like 40's Hollywood, only shadier. It's taking a while.
And so is building a forest for Kiri to wander around in. I may have to swap it for a beach cause I keep expecting someone to pop up and start singing I'm a Lumberjack! And while I know that Kiri is ever the fan of British Comedy, not quite the effect I was going for.
Jess, did I lose you? Sign-ups are still open by the way, anyone still wanting an av is perfectly welcome to request one! I don't actually ever formally close the sign-ups, it just sort of falls off.
Now for the downside to my update. Because of some unforeseen circumstances that pretty much randomly smacked me out of left field, this may yet take me a couple of weeks still. Hopefully not. ~Steph

You didn't lose me at all, Steph! I just can't seem to find a moment to post my request, as it is probably going to be quite long-winded and detailed and things are a bit hectic for me lately. I will do it, I promise. :) How does post-apocalyptic sound? Think Fallout 3 (click here), as the sims I want you to work with are RPG characters from that universe. Does it sound feasible or should I think of something different?

Steph, I know I am probably very late with this, but if you still have the energy or time to do another one for me this year again you can. I know how busy life can get sometimes and also sometimes holds one up to follow through with well laid plans. So if you have the time and energy for another belated sign-up from me! Game: Sims 2 Sim: can be self-sim, or perhaps a creation or downloaded one of your own choice, male or female Hair: your choice Genetics: your choice Theme: Well, I was thinking of perhaps a Gypsy theme.. Clothing: your choice Accessories & Make-up: your choice Objects: whatever suits the theme Notes & Questions: Felicity

Ah, that's okay, Jess! I understand about RL, mine's kinda kicking me at the moment. I think, especially considering I've seen some lots sorta based off Fallout on MTS (and I'm actually getting fairly good at grunging things up with CAST, it's fairly easy, actually, just figure out the color it was when new, then make it less saturated, lighter if it's a dark item, darker if it's a light item, and move the color slightly toward yellow or green (depending on what the original color was.) that I can manage to do something like it. Whenever you've got time, I just commented cause you asked and then I answered and then nothing. Mostly curiosity, don't feel pressured. Felicity, I always have time for you. And you're not running too late, like I said, I don't ever formally close these sign ups, if someone wanted to sign up in October, I'd probably do it. I wouldn't even think about starting to feel you were "too late" until after I have all of the others done. And I'm nowhere near done with everybody else. And gypsy could be fun. I'll have to see what I can come up with. ~Steph

I skipped last year I think, so I'd like to sign up this year for a TS3 icon. I know I'm a bit late too, but I can wait for however long you need to get around to it. I don't know what I want yet either. Maybe something with my Legacy founder? I'll come back and add more info to this post when I have a little more time to think about it. Thank you Steph!

OK, here is my request! Game: TS3 Sim: Ethan Burns and Zoe Williams. Here you can download them and see some screenshots: www.mediafire.com/?76p49vdhupin1p7 Hair: I will send you screenshots of how they are supposed to look in case you don't have the hair the sims are wearing, but in any case, Zoe's is supposed to be dark blond and pretty thin (she is pretty malnourished) and Ethan's is black and well-groomed. Genetics: Whatever you have installed is OK. Theme: Post-apocaliptic, Fallout 3 style. These sims are based in characters from a Fallout 3 RPG, that's why. Clothing: Post-apocaliptic one again. Zoe is a wasteland settler, so her clothing would be in pretty bad shape (ragged, etc). Ethan is an Enclave officer, so he's probably better dressed. Maybe he even has uniforms. Also, in the Fallout world, the world before the war that destroyed the world was supposed to be an idyllic version of the 50s in America, so it might be fun to take shots of them dressed like that with an appropiate background. Not required of course, just an idea. Accessories & Make-up: Whatever you have or can find. Objects: Post-apocaliptic, "destroyed" stuff, etc. Notes & Questions: Ethan and Zoe are lovers but not in love (yet), so their shot should reflect that if possible (they get along just fine though). Some background info: Zoe works as a mercenary for one of the groups with the worst reputation in the Wasteland, the Talon Company. She offended them, so she was sent in an impossible mission, where she would have died if Ethan had not saved her. She is supposed to be quite malnourished and affected by the radiation, thin and weak, and a very practical woman who lives in the present, as her future doesn't seem too promising. Ethan, however, grew up in a sheltered vault, well-fed and clothed, so his appearance and view of the world is quite different. He works for the Enclave, one of the biggest organisations in this world, as a scientist, so he is elegant, intelligent, well-read and confident in his skills (but not conceited). That's about it! I think you can work with this info, but do ask if you need anything else! And do tell me if it seems too complicated. Thank you so much for doing this!
