This is going to be an on-going challenge, made up of small bites.
No money cheats - the idea is to decorate within the budget I give you for each room.
If you don't use up our budget for one room - you can use the excess on the next one!
I'm going to tell you the dimensions of the room, and an approximate placement for you, and it's up to you to decide how to interpret those directions.
Then I'm going to tell you what the purpose of the room is, the budget, and a theme or object. If it's a theme - you can use any object custom or maxis - to decorate within that theme. If it's an object, you can decorate how you like, but must include that object (It will never be a Pay object, but it may require you to download something from somewhere).
What we should end up with at the end of this challenge is a lot of houses that have a similar but different layout, and interesting decor!
Please put up a photo each time.
Participation Prize: A Burglar Alarm able to be used outside, that looks like a house plaque (just plain square). Your own choice of Name.
Step 1: Create 1 LUCKY Sim. This sim is going to be eventually living on your lot. But in the mean time - they're going to be there just to let you know how you're spending your money as you go. We may also have events with him/her so set them up carefully. (no hints).
Step 2: Create a 3x3 Lot and move your sim onto. Current funds $15,200.
a: Entrance Hall - 3x4 - Welcoming, lazy/clean - 3000 b: Connecting - 5x2, 7x3 - Sideboard + stairs - 5000 c: Kitchen with pantry - 5x5, 3x2 - Lazy/Active - 5000 d: Room - 25 squares - Aspiration - 5000 e: Laundry - 16 squares - Mango Washing Machine - 4200 f: Living/Dining - 25 squares- Maxis Only - 5000 g: Conservatory - 21 Squares - Plants - 5000 h: Architecture - open - 4 rooms, 1 balcony, 10000 i: Great Outdoors - 3 areas - entertaining/working/Curb, 15000 j; Upstairs - 3 rooms - choices, choices - 5000

Challenge a: An Entrance Hall.
This is where they hope to impress their neighbours, dump their coats, talk on the phone, and do other entrance hall type stuff.
Theme: Welcoming. Also it should incorporate a part of the following trait of your sim - Slob/Clean
Cost: 3,000 simoleans. You don't have to spend that much but you must NOT spend over that! i.e. you must have 12,200 simoleons left after building and decorating.
Dimensions: 3x4 room. 2 doors, one in front, one in back. No windows on either side.
Note: When decorating - do NOT decorate the outside of the room - that will be coming later in the challenge!

Theme: Based on your Sims personality - Lazy/Active. Lazy - Least amount of work and cleaning Active - Do-everything yourself! Lots of work, lots of cleaning opportunities!
And a combination for the ones in-between!
The Pantry should have room for foods that they can buy, make, and left-overs. But it also should look like a pantry!

challenge h: Architectural
OK - this is what we've been waiting for. Upstairs!
We're not furnishing this challenge.
To start with we need to do the following:
1. Create a 2nd floor that takes up 1/2 the same floor space as Ground floor. 2. Include the following spaces: a. A Hall no more than 8 squares. b. Lucky's Bedroom - At least 25 squares. Lucky's bedroom should overlook one Ground floor room. c. A Bathroom that connects to both the Hall and the bedroom. d. A second room that is smaller than Lucky's bedroom, but at least 20 squares.
You're also creating the roofscape, a balcony (optional), finally the outside walls.
You also need to wallpaper the inside rooms.
Don't forget windows, doors, and other architectural elements.
So you have plenty of room for design you get 10 Kachings!
That's right - 10,000 simoleons!
So let's see that house!

challenge i: The Great OutdoorsHahahahahahaha - I bet you thought we were going to do upstairs next! OK - 15 Kachings- 15,000 simoleons. It's time to make the garden into something that is truly beautiful and whatever! You need to have 3 distinct areas in the garden. 1. Entertaining. If your sim is social, then you need to make an area for big parties. If your sim isn't - then think somewhere for a shy person to enjoy the outdoors with someone special. Think - Spas, BBQ's, Arbours, Kid's playground, etc, etc. 2. Working - Your Sim needs to have at least one thing outside that they can make money in. Be it pond, garage or greenhouse. Or all 3. If you want a car and garage - this is the place to do it. 3. Curb Appeal. When your sim walks out the front door, you want their environment score to go through the roof. You want your neighbours to marvel. For the mucky sims - there's more than one way of marvelling. The Balcony from last challenge can be done as well - or as a part of the Great Outdoors. The areas need to be distinct. Ever watched any of the Garden make-over shows? Then you know what you have to do. And oh...there needs to be at least one bit of land that is not the same level as the rest.

challenge j: Upstairs.
Bathroom = Bathroom Main Bedroom = Main Bedroom
And finally the 2nd room upstairs: Well it depends on what sort of sim you have.
Choice of:
1. Storage Room. 2. If Family Aspiration - Nursery 3. If Outgoing - Guest Room 4. If Fortune - Home Business Office/ Art Studio 5. If Pleasure or Popularity - Disco room/Cinema 6. Romance - Seduction Room. 7. Knowledge or Serious - Study
Now here's the kicker - you have 5,000 simoleons for ALL 3 rooms.
5 Kachings, and I hope you have some leftover cash from last time!!
This is the end of the Constructo Challenge... but there is more challenges available for our Lucky Sim. If you're interested of course!
