Thanks! The kitchen looks so odd next to all of the other rooms. It's so...not pink.

Thanks CC. Step 5This took me forever. I wasn't happy with my first three or so attempts. I thought the bright blue was a nice change from what I had been doing with the other rooms, but I still included some pinks and flowers. Here's an overhead view of the ground floor. I guess the next step is heading upstairs for the bedrooms.

Thanks Thea! Step 6The bedroom with single beds was done in an outdoorsy style with lots of green. You can see the balcony out there. There's a statue and a lounge chair and a lovely view of the bridge. A short walk through the upper entrance hall brings you to to the master bedroom. It's pink and purple and childish and just right for Modesty. I realize at this point that there isn't anything built-in in the room, so I screwed up there, but there IS a secret. That's not a rug. It's a dance floor, and yes, there is a special effects machine behind that potted plant. She's a party animal. It made sense to me. Here's an overhead view of the upstairs.

I love the bedrooms! The green is very beautiful, and I love that Modesty has her own secret party place in her bedroom

Nice job! I green bedroom seems so warm and cosy, while the other bedroom is definitely very Modesty--I also love how you handled the secret for the room!

Step 7I didn't really have a good place connected to the house to make a place for Modesty's grandma to live, but she has a nice sized backyard, so I thought a flat out back would be just right. I think what started the design of the main room was the pattern on the couch. It reminded me so much of my own grandmother that I couldn't not use it. Separated from the living area and kitchenette by a section of wall is the bedroom. I can't even being to tell you how excited I was about finding that afghan pattern. And then tucked in the corner of the flat is a little bathroom. It's nothing special. And the overhead view. You can see the sewing supplies on the couch in that you couldn't see in the other pictures.

Whitney, I just love Granny's flat! So comfortable and cozy! Gosh, I would be even content to live there! That pattern on the sofa reminds me so much of my mum! She has a similar one! Felicity

Step 8When you first enter the bathroom, it looks pretty simple. There's a nice long vanity covered with make up and hairstyling supplies and of course a toilet. Turn the corner and you'll find that this is no simple bathroom. A bar and some nice comfy couches can be found next to the bathtub which sits beneath a stage light set to move in a soothing pattern. It's the perfect place for Modesty to sketch up some floor plans with a glass of a wine after a long soak in the tub. I feel like I should have used a little bit more pink and that the ceiling is a bit much, but for the most part, I'm happy with it. It looks kind of silly for the outside though. And a shot from above.

I like the originality of your bathroom Whitney! Not only a bathroom but a room that can be used as well for comfort. Cozy and comfortable! And as for the outside, I had the same building issue with mine... Felicity

I adore Modesty's house! I really like your decorating style, Whitney! I love how the house is modern yet so warm, cozy and inviting with all those soft colours and relaxing atmosphere. She sounds like a fun Sim to play, too!

Whitney, this house is AWESOME. I think it's the Granny Suite that really sends me over the edge. The old school tv, the pattern on the couch, the details in the bedroom.... I love this house, even though Modesty and I don't see eye to eye in terms of her tastes in things, LOL
