I love that kitchen! Those teal counters give it a really fun look. The chainsaw and tree made me smile.

Thanks CharlieChomper and Whitney Unfortunately I had to remove the tree, as they couldn't walk past it. I put a bunch of potted plants there instead. I finally finished step 5 And I'm starting to regret choosing retro as Chris's favourite style, as I'm having a bit of trouble grasping it, and I don't want to download a heap of new objects Well, at least I tried! As Chris is the only one with a steady income (Harvey is a gardener), he got to decorate the living room. The archway from the entrance (and the door from the kitchen) leads straight into a small party/dancing area. Chris's prized retro record player, and under the stairs is a table for putting..well, stuff. Don't ask me about the skull, I just really wanted to put it there At the other end of the party area is the tv corner, with the feature wall. Further along the feature wall is the little reading nook, and the double door to the outside. At the end is the door, and the staircase up to the bedrooms. And a Dalek. Because I can, and because it's kind of retro since the original Doctor Who is from the 60s. I realize that I once again have forgotten the overivew shot. I'll try to rectify that soon. Also, Chris and Harvey are very anxious for me to do step 6, as they both had to sleep on couches last night.

I agree--it looks very retro! Nice job on it! I also really love that Dalek! I used to watch the "old"/original Doctor Who series with an older sibling who was a fan, as I was growing up (in reruns). I still miss not being able to watch it.

Thank you The Dalek amuses me So, I finally finished step 6 (although the balconies could do with some decorations, I might add that later). Here's an overview of the bedrooms. Here we have the double bedroom, which (as you may have guessed) is done after Chris' tastes. Here is an attempt to build a vanity table, and the door to the balcony. Door to the closet, and a bass. Because I figure one of them will enjoy playing the other to sleep. And here is the other door, to the upstairs entrance hall. And a flower. Because flowers are nice. Harvey chilling at the balcony, while Chris makes the bed. The rather plain closet. And here is Harvey's secret, hiding behind the dresser. It's a bear he had when he was a kid. Harvey secretly wants a child to pass it on to, but as Chris dislikes children he is not seeing that happening. The twin bedroom is decorated after Chris' hated style, gothic, and with Harvey's favourite colour red. One of the beds, door to the balcony and the dresser. The other bed. And since I've forgotten it the past few steps, have an overview of the bottom floor as well.

Your two guys are really fun, Thea! And I think the house you're building for them fits them really well...

It's definitely a very "fun" house that suits them both and I love the teddy bear behind the dresser touch that you added! Very cute! I also really like the layout of your house so far!

Thank you Berit and CharlieChomper! It's an odd house, but it's definitely the most interesting house in the neighborhood

Suddenly, the boys, now newlywed, got a letter from Chris' grandma Ruth, which informed them that she was moving to Galaad and needed a place to stay while she looked for her own house. Thus a granny shack was built in the yard, so they'd still retain some privacy. I borrowed Felicity's idea, and built the granny shack on a foundation. I forgot to take an overview shot, but have a cramped shot of the toilet! Ruth loves pink as much as her grandson. She also loves watching TV in the evening. At the opposite of the TV is the door to the bathroom, and a place for her vegetarian cookbooks. The small kitchenette. Ruth is quite clumsy, so the boys didn't dare to put a lot of things that could be knocked over. And here is the lady herself, sitting at her chair on the patio spying looking for the neighbors. Since all my store stuff was disabled for a while some of the furniture in the other rooms have been removed/replaced, so I have to fix that at some point. Luckily that I have pictures of all of my rooms

I love the combination of the pink and that blue, and Ruth looks like a fun granny.

Thank you! Of course at the moment all the picture frames are empty, but I'm planning on equipping Ruth with a camera, so she'll rectify that

And now for step 8! I'm not sure if their bathroom is as luxurious as it should be, but I think they're happy anyways First, have the overview of the Granny shack, since I forgot it last time. I made a small corridor to connect the bathroom to one of the bedrooms. It has a bookshelf and a chair, so you'll have something to pass the time with should the bathroom/toilet be occupied. Here is the toilet. Quite spacious, and has nice towels to dry your hands on. Then it's the bathroom area. Here we have a mirror for gussying up after a bath/shower. There is also a sofa for either just lounging (there is a tea and some magazines on the table, or a beer on the shelf if you're so inclined), or to offer second opinions to whoever's currently in front of the mirror. The bathtub, with the feature wall. It has a candle on the side, but no bubble bath yet, as the boys hadn't had time to go to the store. And the shower, with a shelf for putting your clothes on (unfortunately out of view), lots of towels, and a separator (is that what they're called?) in case there's other people using the sofa and you want some privacy. Here is the overview

Very warm and cozy bathroom. I really like the shape of the room as well, with the use of the little "apses" along the main of the space--it gives it a nice, added sense of visual interest.

Oooh, very nice! You included everything any Sims could ever want from a bathroom. The little waiting room is a nice touch too.

I really love that bathroom Thea! The shape is unusual and very cozy indeed! Also love the idea of a 'drop' curtain by the bath! Felicity

What a fun house! I love all the little details each of your Sims have in the rooms. The shape is really interesting and the decorating is great! Sounded hard but you have done a wonderful job! Had to laugh at the chainsaw and the beers everywhere. Grandma is awesome with her face paint and all her teacups!

This is such a great couple to be designing for! Its all so great, but I especially love your quirky little details -- the skull, Granny's face painting, Chris's rolled up pants. It give your story and decorating so much personality and keeps us wondering what is coming next!
