For those wondering whether or not it's safe to install, I can answer this by saying that (out of necessity) I do have it now installed on my own computer (which has an older, 32-bit AMD processor in it) and so far it is not causing any problems for me that I've noticed.
However, work computers have been a slightly different matter--but not in a way that should affect anyone here (most of the issues have tied into types of hardware that no consumers would/should have any reason to own much less use for anything, along with software that falls into a similar category).
There are still conflicting reports concerning owners of HP computers with AMD processors--in the sense that some swear they haven't had problems and others claim to have had nothing but problems, however, the key question of why some are and some are not or why that make/combination appears to be more prone remains a mystery even now.
However, there does appear to now be several ways to uninstall it should it be necessary or in case you might want/choose to.
One more very important notice about it for anyone considering installing it. Expect for it to take a potentially long time to download (it's 316MBs in size) and a much longer time for it to actually install (depending upon your system hardware, it varies in how long it may take, but expect for it to be well over an hour or two with newer hardware--on my system (again, old hardware...), it took about four hours to actually install it). You may get a notice about it finishing up, but appearing to be "stuck" in "cleanup" for much of that time with options greyed out, but it's actually nothing to worry about--it's still actually still running. Likewise, do not reboot/turn off your computer when it's running!
