What a lovely house, Felicity! You're a great builder and decorator! I love your use of soft colours, they all seem to go well with each other, and the floor patterns are very interesting! I especially love that pretty and luxurious toilet!

I really like how you've done the entry area... it's understated but still elegant, and I love all the windows.

Step 9 - Finishing the buildingI opted for doing a shed in the back garden! Put a wall around it to hide it from the street view! It is filled with Roland's baby furniture, his old toys too, including his little stove. There is an old dresser that Grethe pitched out, including the old loo and basin! A carpet that she could not find a place to put and of course cushions she does not like. She tried her hand at sewing but gave that up, so that was also shoved into the shed. An old basket that someone gave her too. Ivan brought along his old car and some counters, but his new wife did not like them, so they were dumped in there too. Also being nostalgic, he kept the arch from their wedding and one table, although Grethe would not have it in the house either. They had a dog and a womrat , and a bird. They died and were never replaced again... And Grethe used the old kitchen blinds to cover the windows in the shed! Outside also is Roland's old Monkey bar and a slide.... The roof, (and walls) which was kinda fun doing! Felicity

Oooh, absolutely love the room full of memories! Lots of cute and interesting details. Loved reading about those! The outside of the house looks great, as always. Felicity, you have to teach me to make roofs, I'm hopeless without the autoroof thingy! (and please do teach me how to decorate, build, etc... ). Amazing house, as always!

Felicity -- I love your house! I'm doing this challenge in Sims 3 over at N99, but wanted to check out what the Sims 1 and 2 people are doing over here. I love the way you mix materials, rock walls and flowery rugs, etc. you take sutff that I wouldn't necessarily think of putting together and it all works. Its been along time since I've looked at Sims 2 pics -- I miss some of the stuff you've used here, especially the floors. Your granny house is perfect, and the whole family is gorgeous! Great work
