*Shuffles feet.* It's kind of hard to admit . . . A while after Silver Linning showed her first BJD I found out that this girl I know irl - she's just an acquaintance - had some BJDs and I saw them irl. You know I was very much in love with one of the Annette Himstedt dolls Airelda showed us back in 2004 but at that time there was no way I could afford one. Since then the $ has dropped a lot and I have gotten more money so last year I realized I would be able to afford an Annette Himstedt doll. However I couldn't really get myself to pay that much for something - however beautiful - I couldn't DO anything with. I mean she would come completely finished. If I for instans made new clothes it would always be less good that her first outfit. But after having hold a BJD I was in love. So . . . . . . This is Ilvara. I painted her face myself and made her outfit. In this picture the eyes she has are too big. I have since changed them. I'll post pictures of her with her new eyes later. If you're interrested. Pink

Oh, she's gorgeous!! What sculpt is she? *curious* For someone who's been into this for over a year now, I should be better at recognizing what company dolls are from XD Ilvara is a very pretty name too. Does it mean anything? That's your first faceup? Impressive. I've yet to make my first one, I have all the supplies but haven't worked up the courage to try it. And the outfit's adorable! BJDs are so much fun, no? I've turned in to a wee bit of a BJD geek since I got mine (well, my proper girls, since the first one was wrong it didn't geek me up as much), am even planing to go to a Halloween doll meet this fall and hang out lots at a Swedish BJD forum (have yet to find an English BJD forum I'm crazy about unfortunately). Okay Emma, stop talking now! *cough*

Aww Pink, she's lovely, I'll have to look around the place to see where all this started. I have been envious of Airelda's dolls for years too, have always wanted one, but of course can't afford them either, so just get the catalogues sent to me so I can drool over them each year instead. One day I will get one, when I win lotto or something.
Ilvara is simply lovely, you're so clever, always said you had a beautiful creative talent, well done.

Aww thank you guys. She is? . . . . . . . She's a DollZone Feilian. 43cm tall. Yeah eventually I'll post more pictures. I won't promise anything about when though. Marisa it didn't start at Simpixels at all. This is the first time I've posted anything about this. I'm glad you like her. After I ordered her I was wondering about her name. Then I got the idea to name her after a main caracter in a faerietale I wrote years ago - the name was one I thought up myself - and before I knew it she started to become that caracter. The thing with these dolls is that they look so real and alive that it's hard not to develop a personallety for them. And that's actually one of the things I love about them. I think there's a lot of logic in the fact that I became interrested in them considering that I have been interrested in The Sims for so long. Besides I always loved dolls. Pink

She's very pretty, Pink, and I love her outfit. Of course you'd be talented in making stuff for dolls. I would love to see more pictures too. Love where her name came from. I have a few like that. *points at user name* Of course the "original" Andavri was a guy. ~Steph

She looks lovely, Pink! Reminds me of a fairy or an imp. It's amazing that you created her clothing! I was interested in BDJs myself some years ago, but I never ended up buying one, too expensive and I had the feeling that my interest would fade too quickly.

She's beautiful! I can't believe that you made her outfit. I can't even imagine sewing such little clothes. Wow. I'd love to see more pictures.

Actually she's half trold but this trold wasn't from an evil tribe. :o) It's not as hard as you would think and the most difficult parts are done by hand. You could use words as soft and fluffy. Because it is really really soft and wonderful to touch. It's tiberian wool. Bacically the wig is a "hat" made of fur. I love this kind of wig because it's so soft and you can actually style it yourself. You can use normal mousse for people on it. Oops! I didn't mean to tell people just yet that I have more than one. I mean I don't want to shock anyone and risk traumatizing them. But now that you have let it out I might as well admit to having Linnea and Ulja too. This is Ulja. She's only 16cm tall so she's a tiny little thing. I bought her while I was waiting for Ilvara (I waited almost 3 month) and she was in stock so I got her about a week after ordering her. I later changed her hair: I'm having problems making anything small enough for her. So apart from the green set I haven't made any of her clothes myself. The other two outfits are from tiny BrazKids. This is Linnea. I bought her second hand a white after I got Ulja. I had seen her on a webside but she was sold out. I just thought she was the most beautiful doll. When I saw her for sale - even if it was with a less nice body and without the original hair and eyes - I just couldn't pass up the opportunity. And with new eyes I had been waiting for like forever: Pink

They're both gorgeous! You seem to have a thing for mohair wigs (great taste, mohair wigs look so soft an natural). ^^
Is Ulja a Tinybear/Sleeping Elf doll? Or does she just remind me of one? XD
