It started out as a picture of Betty Page. It's turned into a mess. I liked the pose, but I don't like painting teeth. They're a royal pain in the butt to paint. I don't really feel like I captured what I wanted to at all, but I'm not sure where I went wrong. ~Steph

Steph, you always amaze me with your talents! I think she is beautiful, ..... those eyes are gorgeous! The detail of the eyelids, and the actual eye I think is captivating for me! I certainly dont find anything wrong with this picture! Felicity

I think she's gorgeous... it's so hard to do real people!
I know what you mean about teeth... drawing them all looks weird, leaving them out looks weird, doing the faint tooth line thing is hard... yes, memories of drawing teeth are bad.
The only thing that's bugging me about this pic is her ear. Beyond that, I think it's gorgeous.

Thanks, Felicity, Moon & Nina.
Moon, I hate ears, I almost covered it all with the black that's not really hair yet. (I have the worst luck with hair on cgs.) And yes, I know exactly what you mean about the teeth. Ugh. ~Steph

Teeth really are difficult, but I don't think those look bad at all! You did a fantastic job with her face.

I think you did a realy great job. Do you paint with brush and water/acrylic or do you use a WACOM tablet on your PC?

Thanks, Whitney, Thea, & Nodgie. Nodgie, it's digital, I'm a mess with a paintbrush, but I use a mouse not a tablet. It's a pain in the foot sometimes, especially as there's no pressure sensitivity with a mouse. And so much of CS2 is set up to do pressure sensitivity, but I'm going to get a new tablet as soon as I can drag my mom out to go shopping for one. My old graphire is missing the stylus and they don't make the stylus I need for it anymore. I know it won't immediately make me a better digital painter, but at least the pressure sensitivity features would cut down on some of the blending redundancy. ~Steph
