Hi everyone! As you might have seen, I suggested having a monthly thematic picture thread, and Kiri agreed, so here it is! You can post pics from any Sims game, so no one is left out! This month's theme is families, as to celebrate Generations' arrival. Post pictures of your sims families being together, eating together, doing things together, whatever you want! Brownie points for talking about your sims and introducing them to us! Here are some of mine. You might have seen some of these pics before, sorry about that! These is Elise Harker with her adopted son, Frederick. They are a small family but still a family nonetheless! Elise works as an interior designer and there is no love in the horizon for her just yet. Here you have Naomi Addison and Marc Brandt. You might remember them from when Ambitions came out! Here they are looking with disgust awe at their newborn son! This pic is from a birthday party in my most recent Legacy family, about which I have yet to post. I liked the picture because there were lots of sims there. The two elders at the left are the boy's parents. He has a little sister too, but she isn't around it seems. This is a very old pic, of my very first founder, her husband and their daughter playing videogames! The daughter, Lillian, grew up and had a family of her own! Those are her husband Tobias and little evil Thomas in there! I love pictures of families eating together, as it doesn't seem to happen very often. Same family as before, a bit later in time. So, let's see yours!

I have chosen three of my favourite families. First up are the family musical siblings, The Wired Siblings. They are a professional band, and play at parties and gigs. Nancy, Jeremy, Olivia and Tiaan! And they each adopted a child! The children love watching their parents jamming! Then the next family live in an apartment building. A vampire, Beau Merrick and two single ladies, Marina and Bianca. However, Beau been a romance sim, enjoyed flirting with both and eventually married Marina, who in turn had a desire to be 'bitten' and became a vampire herself. They have a son, Bo. Bianca Rubble on the other hand, keeps to herself and goes to work everyday. The Derbyshire Family - perhaps my longest playing family so far. Husband Selwyn, lifetime want to become a Seasoned Traveller and he has almost reached his goal. Visa Level 3 in all three destinations. Accredited Adventurer in Eqypt, Revered in China and an Honourary Citizen in France. He has about 11 days left to becoming an elder. He married Francesca, a stay-at-home mum and they have 6 children, 3 boys and 3 girls... Felicity

Great pictures Jessica. That party was a real success!
Loved your pictures Felicity. 6 children! that reminds me of my Diamacoune family which I lost when I decided to start over with a clean game. They were my favorite with 5 girls and finally they had a baby boy.

Everybody's families look great. I'm not really playing any "traditional" families at the moment. I want to, but I'm trying not to get caught up in Generations until I finish up everyone's avs. I know from previous experience that now that TS3 doesn't run like crap if I don't keep my discipline I'll play lots of TS3 and not get anything accomplished. And in Shadowcrest, my RKC hood, I'm not far enough along to have anything resembling a "traditional family". Not anything with kids at all. But I thought I would share a couple of pictures of what I think of as a family, even if they're not related by blood. And no, this isn't an excuse just to show a shirtless guy. (Although there is one.) When the story starts in Shadowcrest, they've just "survived" a plague. A lot of stuff is happening and I won't hijack the thread to ramble about it, but suffice it to say, there are thirteen survivors when the plague stops killing people and they're all men. (Well eleven men and two teenaged boys.) These are a couple of shots from the episode about the Harvest Faire and some intro into Jarrett's back story. (Episode Four: The Place I'll Return To) Jarrett was a butcher before the plague and his family, his wife and two small children died in the plague and he survived. Because he loved his family more than anything, the whole thing has left him pretty mentally and emotionally scarred. Jarrett's wife, Ivy, before she died made Jarrett promise that he'd go on without her. In these pics, he's "visiting" his wife and kids at the plague cemetery. Jarrett sorta takes in a wandering minstrel named Sawyer who actually wasn't even a denizen of Shadowcrest before the plague, but out of teenaged cockiness and morbid curiosity he ends up coming to Shadowcrest when he hears of the plague and gets stuck there cause he can't leave without getting killed by the border guards when he tries to leave. (These pictures are from Episode Five: Your Winter (Yep, same song as Felicity's sig.) in which Sawyer gets the "brilliant" idea to go serenade the woman he's in love with in a snowstorm.) Jarrett and Sawyer have an almost father-and-son like relationship. Sawyer is someone relatively safe that Jarrett can care about. (Which he desperately needs.) And Jarrett is sort of a father figure to Sawyer who's been out on his own ever since the old woman who raised him died. (She wasn't his mother or even related to him, he doesn't know who she was, really. I do, though, of course. ) Even though they're not related by blood, they're still a family to me. ~Steph Edited with a bit more info

I love everyone's pictures Steph, that sound like an interesting story! I've only played with the Smith/Jones clan, and most of those pictures go in their Simpixel Hoods thread, but have a father/daughter moment between Temperance and Alonso - sparring.

Steph your stories and pictures are always so different. I love that. Thea, I hope they are only practicing and not really fighting! Good picture. I'll see what I can do over the week-end for a few pictures in this thread. It's been so long since I uploaded pictures, I'm not sure I remember how to do it

Just ask if you have problems Slyphide. I've just loaded my latest family into my game - but haven't started playing them - I've still got the rest of the families to load up. Then I'll have plenty of family pictures for you.

Thanks everyone for the comments and for contributing to the thread! Felicity, love your musical family! The vampires sound familiar, are they from Bridgeport or your creation? And wow, six kids! Well done on almost completing the Seasoned Traveller LTW! Steph, I like your family! They certainly certify as so, I would say. Is this story posted somewhere? I'd like to read more! Thea, families that spar together stay together they say! Great picture!
