As you may (or may not be) aware. I've gone back to Sims2, and am currently recreating my Sims for SimVannia Waters. Yup - I missed my hood. In the last 5 years there has been an amazing change in the quality of downloads, and with my new graphics card I'm no longer willing or able to deal with the old versions of my sims. So they're getting make-overs! Here they are so far: David Hunky. Brother of Vigo Hunky. (Vigo Hunky was Pixella's Significant Other) Nina and Dina Caliente:

Great makeovers, Kiri! I went back to TS2 as well about a month ago, started a BACC and left it there. I should go back and keep advancing in the challenge. TS2 is a great game and many things seem better done than in TS3.

Because I'm..well, not stupid, but I have my moments; what is a BACC? A challenge I presume? Build A ? Challenge?

Sorry for being unclear, girls! You're not stupid at all, Thea, quite the contrary! A BACC is a Build a City Challenge, you were right on track! It's about a bunch of settlers that go to an empty area and start living there; there is quite a lot of restrictions at first as you have no running water, electricity, etc. What I like about it is that you really get to know all sims and there is a feel of a small, close-knit community. The rules I am following are Nepheris': nepheris.dreamwidth.org/27702.htmlYou have to play each family for a week and I only got to the second week (I got a bit bored since nothing was happening I have to admit, but people say that the first rotation/week is always slow) but I would like to go on playing.

Thea, do tell me if you find a nice ruleset for TS3! I haven't been able to find one that I liked, even though I would I would love to do something similar for TS3.

Awesome Kiri! I love the makeovers! I have also installed my Sims 2 yesterday again. Albeit I don't think I shall be re-installing custom content as yet. I played the whole day yesterday, starting with a young teen at University and shall go from there. I have to admit, Sims 2 is still my most favourite! Felicity

Your Sims are quite good looking Kiri. Well, it looks like a few of us are going back to our old love: TS2! I stopped buying the EPs for TS3 after Generations... I'ts not keeping me interested enough. I am slowly building up my brand new Sims (with same old names, same old couples ). What I mean by building up is I am making Word files on my computer: 1 file per couple. I have a picture of the Sims (mainly Lyran's) with hair and all clothing. Then I make a folder with all the downloaded files in it with the pictures. Next step is to install in my game and finally I create the Sims and put them into small houses. My game should be all ready and set for me to start playing when I retire!

When I started working in the teaching department of my hospital in 2008, my young colleage (whom I love very much) called me: "the Queen of organization"!

oh man Sylphide you are awesome LOL
I am happy this is the first thread I am reading coming back to the forum (I know, it has been forever!!) I received TS3 Pets for Christmas and even with the shiney newness like horses and deer and such.... I still just don't like the game as much. It doesn't hold the whimsy and interest that TS2 held for me.
I bought my new computer last year and today I though... what the heck, lets fire up the old TS2 and see what's what. Well, APPARENTLY I installed everything to my computer a year ago and never touched it! So... It is all vanilla and ICKY and I do not know if I have access to all my old files. I am so so so happy that I'm not the only one returning to the game because I am sure I will be asking for places to find things (or reminders of how to do things, it has been SO LONG) and if you guys are playing too than maybe things will be more fresh in all our minds.
Kiri the Sims look great! I always have been a fan of the Caliente girls.

I have been looking on MTS to try and find a tutorial about making over NPCs but there are 157 pages to go through and... I got discouraged. Can anyone point me to a tutorial so I can participate?
