Beware of this Supernatural glitch (update!)

I don't know how widespread this news is in the community as I haven't had time to really read over any other boards or forums, but evidentially there's a glitch with the Sims3 pack, Supernatural, involving zombies and saving on a full moon of where it will corrupt your save.
The problem is that it becomes impossible to completely get rid of the zombies (I did read the guides and everything from the potion to peashooters (for those that have them) to the testingcheat will not make them go away permanently if someone's game has been affected--instead, all the methods just temporarily make them go away, but they keep respawning regardless of time of day, phase of the moon, etc. and those that had been "cured" end up reverting back to being zombies just as sometimes new zombies end up spawning).
The cause of it is that if you save your game during a full moon, it somehow causes the corruption which in turn results in this problem and while the issue of preventing it will supposedly be addressed in the upcoming patch for Seasons, anyone whose game has been corrupted by it can expect for more of the same to happen as the game is reading the save where it happened as corrupted and therefore unable to repair the damage done.
So, that either leaves you with two choices: either say farewell to those sims affected by it and that save (or saves) or learn to live with it.
On a similar note, it appears to be the same two "solutions" for anyone who has been affected by the tend garden bug.
I just tried loading my game last night and seem to have been affected by both issues (although, I admittedly did find it odd that my moon kept resetting itself back to a crescent every time I loaded my game in spite of what phase it was in when I exited out) and all my saves appear to have been corrupted as a result, but thought to post this in the hopes that no one else falls victim to it.
Update: For anyone who hasn't seen it yet, there is a new patch out that is supposed to prevent the issue with the moon. However, as mentioned above, it will not fix games/saves that have already been affected by this problem.
However, there is a workaround of sorts for the full moon/zombies bug! If you go into edit mode and move your households affected by it into the bin and then import them into a new game and do a new save, it should also save your sims and they will no longer be affected by this problem.
