My plan for SimVannia Waters, is to have the 2-3 blocks where the main street is packed, and the houses behind it packed as well as in Row houses and semi-detached. Then have the ones moving further out with more space between them and parks. Oh and the waterfront will be beach and related things. This is my build hood. It's not supposed to have any sims in it (although it does). This is what it looks like at the moment - Area 1 is where the posh people live, Area 2 is the main street where it should be crowded. Area 3 is where the orphanage is, and more middle class homes, Area 4 is where the lighthouse with hermit goes, and Area 5 is the seaboard. I'm looking to have all sorts of sea related stores and activities along that. And a park with a carousel. The only community lot currently on the seafront is a cinema. Up the back, is a lake/camping area that a friend made me.

Thanks Thea. It really doesn't feel as populated as it needs to be. But it's getting there.

That's a great layout for your hood. Building with a plan is so smart -- and the way you've planned it, you've got room for different types of housing and lots. Look forward to seeing how you fill it all out.

It looks beautiful, Kiri! I really like the layout and I love neighbourhoods divided in separate areas just like what you are planning to do. I hope you will post lots of pictures of the different buildings in SimVannia Waters! I especially look forward to see the orphanage and the sea-related stores.

That's my plan Jess - I'm working on the main street for November where all the community buildings will be - shops, etc. Because it's a small country town, there won't be a lot of big city things like universities, hospitals, jails, etc. I'm thinking of having a doctor's surgery with a small ward attached for emergencies. In many ways SVW is a conglomerate of many of the small towns I lived in/visited. I was thinking this morning that my favourite lot of SCNina's was an apple orchard that we have many of in Tassie. I wrote to her telling her about how it reminded me of them, and found out that it was because it was styled on those orchards and she was quite familiar with them herself! Small world!

How fun that she knew about them, small world indeed! I'm sure your hood will turn out great, I would love to have a small town where sims' lifes are interconnected and everyone knows each other.
