This is going to be a fairly simple challenge.
GOAL ONE: Introducing the Box!
Take a lot - 2x2 I suspect would be the smallest, but any size is good.
Then build a box 9x7
(It can be on foundation) if you like.
9x7 is big enough for a starter home, a small community building, etc.
What you need to do with your box - is add 'The Cute' Give it road appeal, make it lovely to look at! Interior Decorating is a go-er as well.
What you can and can't do -
You can add bump-outs (that's small annexes to the original shape) to give it style. eg: a 1 tile shaped porch surrounding the front door. A Bay Window.
You can use whatever custom content that you like.
You can place interior walls wherever you like.
You can add a 2nd box of the same size, above, below or next to.
You cannot make the box smaller or bigger. It's about dressing up the original shape, not losing it altogether.
You cannot make the box insignificant in the function of the lot. For example, you can't make it a toilet block for a park. You can make it a tea-room with toilet amenities, and other functions for a park lot though. As long as it's the central function of the lot, it's ok.
You can put the box anywhere on the lot.
GOAL TWO: The LIFE of a BOX!
Document with pictures and text, what happens with your lot over 1 24 hour period. Pictures are good.
The theme for the box' life is the following:
1. Something Square.
2. Something to do with lids.
3. Something inside
4. Gifts
Use these as inspiration thoughts, rather than literally - so something square could be about a square painting, a nerd, a square dance, making something square (that's colloquial for setting something right), etc, etc - rather than here's a square!
Finishing up in the New Year. So Plenty of time!
