(Lucky Challenge A is here)
At long last, I finished Lucky B! Bruno wasn't the best internet chatter, much thanks to me.
I had never really had my sims chat before, so it took me some time to realise I had to
line up tons of chatting interactions to get the relationships going somewhere.
Kiri's instructions say 'try to do it within a one week period'. Well, I sure tried, but one week passed,
two weeks passed, and I was afraid Bruno would become an elder (or even worse, die from age!)
before he had succeeded in getting a friend! But then, during his third week of chatting
(a whole four seasons had passed and spring had come again),
with only 4 days left of his adulthood, he finally befriended someone.
The computer break-downs were really annoying. Just when Bruno was beginning to build up points with someone,
the computer decided to take a break... And by that time, Bruno was to tired to repair it, so I usually ended up
sending him to bed. And when he woke up, the sim he had been chatting with wasn't online anymore....
Gah!
Most of the time Bruno fixed the computer himself (and as a result,
he has now got 9 mechanical points!), but he did call the repairman sometimes too.
I realised there are too many NPC's in his hood. Once Bruno had chatted with someone they would never go online again,
and no one went online twice, there was always new people at the chat. He once did manage to get 48 points with a girl,
and then the computer broke... I was starting to loose hope. But the next day, he chatted with the lovely Amber.
And he made enough points to ask her for a date!
Here she is, after Bruno picked her up with his car. The lovely Amber! (Isn't she pretty? I love her blue eyes.)
Bruno & Amber had an awesome date. They didn't have dinner, they just spent the evening talking,
playing and getting to know eachother. They came along great, still Amber was a girl with integrity,
and did turn down some of Bruno's flirting invitations. But they did both get crushes for eachother,
and their date reached dream date-level.
That's when the trouble began. I sent Bruno to a changing room, I thought they had deserved some woohoo.
I shouldn't have. The game froze for a moment, and Bruno mysteriously teleported out of the changing room
to the tiny space behind it, where he now was all stuck, surrounded by fence...
Trapped by what I had thought was incredibly creative interior design when I built it!
So I had no choice but to leave the lot - and of course I couldn't save it because he was on community lot.
Imagine how pissed I was with my game. I had to re-do the date, and their dream date was lost.
For their second first date, I took Bruno & Amber to a restaurant.
They felt not at ease having this vampire watching them!
After a while the vampire vanished and the couple could enjoy their dinner and both got crushes for eachother.
They watched the stars, kissed, and had a good time. No dream date this time though,
but they said good night with a smile on their lips. Cuties!
When Bruno came home I got him some Elixir of Life and he had a dose of it. Don't want him to become an elder just yet.
(Btw, isn't it hilarious to have one of those in a disco room? )
Oh! And some time later, Amber came by the house with a gift!
She was obviously happy with the date.
Conclusion: Chatting takes time! But I'm really glad Bruno ended up with Amber.
And now I'm preparing for challenge C!
