The first article I'm mainly posting as it delves into part of the problems associated with so-called "scareware" (aside from it being a scam and creating unnecessary amounts of paranoia...) and the more criminal aspects involved in this shady practice...
The second article delves into how it has affected on a major university system (specifically, the University of Utah) and not just the university computers/networks, but also the students whose own systems may be on that network and any external devices they may have running or attached to it.
