For those that remember this incident, it appears the company had released a way of removing the add-on sometime last month, complete with directions, which you can read about here. Option one is an update that should reinstall this add-on and provide for an uninstall button to remove it (however, it will also install the .Net4.0 framework as well). The second method will require having to go into the registry to do a bit of editing to it to remove it.
