Samsung has recently announced a new method of customizing adverts shown to people through their screens. The system works by somehow scanning (via built-in cameras and internal computer running special facial recognition software they designed, which all fit within the confines of a LCD monitor) the people in the area and then determining what ads may appeal to them based upon factors such as gender or age group (child versus adult), which it can supposedly determine (another factor into the ads chosen is the length of time someone is looking at the screen and whom may comprise the majority of those looking at the screen in terms of gender/age group).
