iPhone coincidences involving Microsoft day

In what has to be one of the strangest coincidences of the day, there was news that Microsoft's .Net (minus Microsoft or its actual framework) apparently has been or is going to be made available for the iPhone via the app store--via sometime-competitor Novell and a controversial open source equivalent project (which Microsoft has nothing to do with--in fact, their history has been more of the nature of attempting to make it go away (nor is that why it's controversial--.Net and anything to do with it tends to be a bit of a polarizing issue with developers in general, and just within the open source community this particular project has been seen as even more so to)).
At the same time, there was a very public incident involving Steve Ballmer versus an iPhone of where a Microsoft employee (who supposedly is part of the Windows team) was caught with an iPhone by Ballmer, as the employee was about to take a photo of him at a major company meeting. Ballmer made what have been described as "funny comments" about the iPhone as Microsoft's employees began jeering and booing before Ballmer took the phone and made it appear he had stepped on it, in an attempt to try and crush/destroy it (in actuality, it's been said he did not step on it but apparently just made it appear that he was). The iPhone in question apparently may have taken a photo of Ballmer during the act, which this article also displays.
It should be noted that last year, at an event, Ballmer was asked about the iPhone. His response was not too surprising and likely would have just been a news item most people would have glanced over and had it be the end of it, however, what followed (and actually made it newsworthy) was a revisit to a rather bizarre episode that had happened at a tech event a few years ago which has sometimes been dubbed the "Monkey Boy dance" or referred to by what he said, in which he proceeded to repeat the word "developers" over and over and over again, etc. almost in a tirade-like way (video of that incident has become something of a "classic" in its own right). However, unlike the previous incident, it appeared he was attempting to do so deliberately in an attempt at humor.
