Disclaimer: As the title suggests, this is a reposting of an earlier thread. The information is still relevant as is the article and was important enough to where I've chosen to repost it here.'ll start this off by saying that I don't know whether there will be any interest in this or how people will feel about this bit of news as some of the results I've seen in terms of comments coming from within just the tech community have been mixed with some people who are pointing out that had it been Microsoft, there would be a massive uproar over it and others who art trying to rationalize it "because it's Apple" and still others who are pointing out the hypocrisy involved. So, that said, the basics of the situation is that the newest update/version of iTunes isn't just an update to the software, itself, but comes with some "extra" software attached to it--namely, Safari (Apple's web browser). The link that I'm posting is actually from the blog of Mozilla's CEO and not only goes into the situation, but also points out some of the issues involved and why it's an issue for an update to also include something of this nature.
