I'm not sure if this should go here or in simmie talk, so I'm sorry if I'm lost in the wrong place lol
I have got a new laptop, an Acer 7720G. It has Vista. I have succesfully installed sims and all its expansions (I have tried running it, also with the latest FT patch). So far soo good. I have installed FamilyFun, Celebration and H&M, but when I got to Teen Style it just wouldn't get up the installation menu? At first I thought it might be a securom issue (I didn't have any trouble with it at my desktop, so I'm unfamiliar there), but Bon Voyage and Free Time installed and runned fine, and those has securom too.
Anyone has any suggestions..? I haven't tried to shut down background tasks, because it's a new computer I'm a bit unsure of what I can shut off without scewing up lol

Did you try going to the start menu and doing run. Then you go to your CD menu and choose setup. Maybe that would work.

I'm sorry I didn't see this thread sooner, but am happy that the problem was able to sort itself out, at least.

That sounds just like what happens when I tell my husband something doesn't work and then when he tries it, it works.

I think it's happened to everyone at one point or another--nor does it ever fail.
