I wasn't going to buy Seasons yet because - I have assignment I need to write.
- Was going to wait until after exams.
- My graphic card isn't actually supported anymore (game has run fine though, just without pet fluff)
But...um....I was at the store with a friend who was buying some films for her brother and...oops If I'm good with my assignment today I might try to install tonight to see how it runs (am sort of planning to build a computer for gaming (well, TS3 is the only thing I play at the moment, but I may expand later ) if I can get over the fact that I shouldn't spend money on it and god, I just bought concert tickets )

SimThea has been a frog for about a week. It's a hard life being an alchemist.

Oh poor Thea. Rhymer has some of the most beautiful children in the world. I need to hurry up an update my Legacy before I explode with the need to brag about them.

She's so cute in those starry legwarmers. I had a frustrating week, so I bought Island Paradise and made Sim-Whitney quit her job and move to Isla Paradiso. On a boat.

I missed this link!
Thea that "thing" is called the "barre". Did you know that all ballet vocabulary is in French, because it started with Louis XIV in 1661. The classical ballet technique started there and names were given to the steps in French. And it has stayed that way ever since. So dancers can take a class in Paris, New York, London, Moscow or Tokyo and they will always hear (with different accents!) Plié, Développé, Tendu, Port de bras, Arabesque, Attitude, and so on...
Whitney, love that boat house, and Sim-Whitney actually looks like you. Good job!

Margot, it's interesting you should mention that about ballet and French as well as just the history of it as I remember for a few years in my childhood having to take ballet lessons and we were often told that many of the terms had come from French.
Also, my sister actually had a friend who had formally studied French because of that connection. She had been studying ballet and gone on to teach it as well as having danced for a couple of different companies in the US and had also traveled to other countries to perform or even teach--unfortunately, she had her career cut very short due to an injury that left her unable to dance, so she instead went back to school and majored in and now works in a field where she's still around the world of ballet and dance, just in a very different way as she's now working with the dancers and helping them to recover from injuries and treating them (I forgot what the specialty is called, however). When she got married the first time, their wedding invitations and "theme" of the wedding was even tied into ballet (her now ex-husband had also been a ballet dancer).

Oooh, that's a nice...what do you call it? Factoid? I never thought about ballet words being French, but now I do it's pretty obvious I actually took ballet classes for a couple of years as a child. I was the one with the words "body skill" and uncoordinated and stuff, but I had the best rhythm with the music Off to decorate a Noble bedroom

Thea has a "Sim-Centaur"! Whitney it looks like you miss your cat a lot! Kitten wallpaper, pictures of cats! I love the way you decorated the house. And is that a bass? How does she climb up to her house when she is in the water?

Thanks Thea and Margot! I do miss my cat! I probably would have ended up decorating like a crazy cat lady even if he was here with me though. Yes, that is a bass. I played cello and bass guitar in school, so I figured that was as close as I was going to get. Also, Sim-Whitney's head is in the way in the picture, but there is a ladder at the front of the houseboat.
