There are lots of journals and wordpresses out there now, and of course sites like Holy Simoly and Parsimonious and Around the Sims. Which ones do you find the easiest to find the latest updates? Which ones do you find the easiest to find what you are looking for? What sort of things do you search on? I've had my website now since January 2002 - 11 years! And I think it's time for a make-over because I find it difficult to find things myself. Please help me to make sense of what I've got!

Great Question Kiri. I think it depends more on how the person sets up the site rather than the platform itself. If you use a blog having a good key terms list (or categories list) list is super important. The latest update is pretty much always at the top of the page, but it can be hard to find out what has been updated since the last time you were there.
I think forums are the hardest to find things on because the search feature never seems to work well.
ATS is perfect. I like how she has the update archives and all the context categorized in multiple ways. But I think that must be super time consuming for her to do.
Tumblrs are really hard to find things on I think.

I agree with both of you about ATS. It is perfect. I also like All About Style, but her TS2 and TS3 pages are a little confusing. I like going on Mod the Sim, but I often find it difficult to find what I am looking for, probably not using the right keywords?

I'm also in the ATS-love camp I also think blogs are ok, but only if they have good organization tags/categories.

Yeah I do like AAS and ATS - they really do have it right I'm looking into some free software that will allow me to include searches on my website, if I go with it, I'll be wanting you guys to help me out with categories and tags to search on.
