I took a video of my favorite singer and it plays well from the CD but from the hard drive it lags badly. Why would it play better on the CD than on my hard drive?

If I had to guess, I would put it at partly having to do with the differences in access speeds between and involving the two devices and the resources being called upon to play it and how they differ.

Just be aware that if you get a new processor and motherboard, you may have to upgrade the RAM as well (depending on what you have now and what would work best with the new motherboard and processor).
Also, make sure the motherboard (and especially the processor) are either supported by your current power supply or else get along with it.

I would get them at the store where they made my PC. They always say that if I am not happy they will change whatever needs changing so it will all work
