Yesterday I couldn't get online although the lights on my modem were looking like they are suposed to when it's working. I called my ISP and they told me that Windows had updated creating a conflict with ZoneAlarm that coursed the computer to not be able to go online. I turned off ZoneAlarm (I have Avast too) but the guy at my ISP said that ZoneAlarm would fix the problem in a few days. I don't feel comfertable leaving it like that though. And I can't find any info about it. Any ideas? Do you know anything about this? Pink

Pink, I had posted a thread concerning this issue last night, partly for this reason. I actually just read that Zone Alarm has released an update to the English-only versions of their products, but have yet to do so with other languages yet. I also can't confirm whether or not the problem has, in fact, been resolved with that update. In the meantime and in case you're using a non-English edition of it, they have a work-around that also shouldn't require you to have to turn or disable Zone Alarm. If you go into the "Firewall" tab and move the "Internet Security" slider to medium, it should resolve the conflict--at least, for now.

ZA has released an update that at least works for me. I just did the Windows update (although I of course made a system restore point first). The nothing worked. ZA popped up a message about a necessary update and I just followed the instructions. Now all seems to work again.
